Purpose: The Phlebotomy program prepares students for entry-level employment in hospitals, medical offices, and clinics with training in blood draw and preparation/processing of blood tests. It also prepares students to take the National Certification Examination in Phlebotomy through the National Health Career Association.
OCCUPATIONAL OBJECTIVES: This program is designed to prepare students to take the
national certification examination in phlebotomy and become licensed to perform venipuncture procedures. This program prepares the student to pursue advanced certification as a phlebotomist and member of the medical laboratory team through additional education.
